I’m getting my gutters done and the roofers wanted to know if I wanted to paint the entire fascia and hold off the gutter install or if they should install them and have me just paint the bottom. Does it matter either way?

In front of the garage, there are two joints where the pieces just barely reach each other. Also, there’s a little bit that’s caroded so water can drip out. I was thinking brown (the gutters are brown) plastic (electrical) tape for a temporary fix ’cause I haven’t got the money right now to do it correctly. Any other ideas for quick cheap fixes to my gutters?
