I consider myself a patriotic American.
I wish to serve my country but I don’t support the wars that we are fighting.
I’m 17, 5′7, and 127 pounds. I can do ~50 pushups but my cardio is in the gutter.
I wish to serve because I wish to give back to this nation. The educational and financial opportunities are a plus. I also get to obtain experience and it might come in handy if I wish to get into politics in the future.
The problem is that I’m afraid to get family approval. I come from a family of liberals that do not support the military what so ever (except for my aunt who was a veteran of the Gulf War). They say that people in the military are stupid and blindly patriotic. I get angry every time I hear them talk down on this country. So yea, I’m one of the few conservatives in my family.
