SOUP asked:

Built a new home. Sump pump use to go off all the time. A few years have past. We built a deck, and installed gutter guards. Now our sump pump does not go off. My question is, does the gutter guards, building of the deck have anything to do with the pump not going off as frequently? Or is the home has settled, therefore, the ground is harder and not as moist?

If you don’t have any extra water where you sump pump is located, then you have already solved your water problems
